Felix loves baseball and lives each day for more. The answer to his dreams comes when he becomes a bat boy for a minor league baseball team. While working as a bat boy, Felix learns some hard things about his absent father who is a famous Cuban baseball player and it really forces him to grow up.

Free Baseball was a exciting book because Felix won on the raido two tickets to the miracles game and his mom made him go with his mean sitter and when he went there he became batboy when he realy wasn't his mother was worried about him and then his mother went to pick him up and his mother lived at this house near the baseball field.
